Forensic pathologists are physicians and must follow the same schooling path as medical doctors. They must earn a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, such as chemistry, biology, physics, psychology, or anthropology, then finish medical school. Once you have earned your degrees, you must complete four to five years of anatomic, clinical, and forensic pathology, followed by a one-year residency or fellowship in forensic pathology.
