What does a remote RN do?

Career: Remote RN

A remote nurse or RN specializes in telemedicine. As a remote RN, you provide medical care, counseling, and support to patients via chat or video conferencing sessions, which saves time and hassle for the patient and is more cost-effective for facilities and insurers. As part of your responsibilities, you also consult with patients and their physicians to diagnose illnesses, arrange prescriptions, and help patients understand their treatment options. When necessary, they also refer patients to physical facilities for follow-up or more advanced, hands-on care. Some remote nursing jobs are completely virtual, while others involve remote work combined with travel.
