Simply put, an IT Trainer—sometimes known as a Technical Trainer—is responsible for teaching employees how to use company computers and software for various purposes. This could include developing training programs for various IT tasks, as well as coordinating tech-based training sessions for the employee base. An IT Trainer can work for one company, or they can do contract work for multiple employers. Because the role could require training employees on a wide variety of technologies, IT Trainers should have a good grasp of computer programs and Internet-based applications. IT Trainers need to have good technical skills, as well as good people skills, as they'll be working closely with employees providing the training that's necessary to succeed in the role.
