What does an evening stocker do?

As an evening stocker, you work in a retail shop or grocery store and fulfill your duties after business hours. You inspect and take an inventory of products on shelves to determine which items need attention, receive new merchandise from your company warehouse, unpack boxes, and replenish items on store shelves. You arrange products in an attractive, well-organized way, and your responsibilities also include reporting damaged merchandise, displays, or signage and updating inventory lists so that management knows which items to reorder. In many jobs, you are also responsible for cleaning display shelves and disposing of packing boxes so that the store is ready to reopen in the morning.
