As an entry-level Oracle database administrator, your job is to assist your company by helping install and configure a database using Oracle software. In this role, you may also oversee data migration and storage, coordinate with other IT staff, and use software to help check for errors within the databases. Entry-level oracle database administrators often write new code for databases, troubleshoot problems, and occasionally travel to other offices. Most entry-level oracle database administrators work for large companies under the supervision of more experienced DBAs, but small companies sometimes hire entry-level administrators as their sole support staff.
