As an educational content writer, your job is to develop educational material for teachers and students. This may involve creating lesson plans, helping plan a curriculum, researching material, or finding sources to back up any claims in the content. Most educational content writers focus specifically on published material sold to schools or similar educational institutions, as well as research and study guides sold in bookstores. This job should not be confused with writing general educational content like blog posts, including posts from or by academic companies. Many educational content writers specialize in specific areas, especially for material in the K-12th-grade range.
