As an AIX system administrator, your responsibilities include the setup, installation, operation, and maintenance of IBM AIX or UNIX servers and system hardware and software. You are expected to plan and implement system configuration based on established procedures, complete daily backups, and monitor to ensure everything you install is functioning correctly. You develop project goals and prepare technical specifications and documents to support security efforts and keep track of problem resolution progress. Your other duties as an AIX system administrator include analyzing system performance statistics and making changes to reach and maintain maximum performance.
