What does a warehouse stocker do?

As a warehouse stocker, you load and unload merchandise shipments from trucks and stock and organize the products in the correct places within the warehouse. You use inventory software to track and log products as they are received and then taken out for order fulfillment. As customers place orders, you pull merchandise off shelves, pack boxes, and place orders in the delivery area. Additional responsibilities include opening shipping containers, occasionally counting physical inventory, and wearing proper safety gear while following all protocols. Other duties often involve working with vendors to deal with missing and damaged goods, and you also keep the warehouse clean and take care of simple repairs as needed.
