What does a virtual travel assistant do?

Virtual travel assistants make arrangements for people who wish to travel. They may work on the staff of a company, booking travel for executives and other employees, or they may provide services to the public through a travel agency, corporate travel clubs, or as an independent contractor. As a virtual travel assistant, you work remotely and communicate with clients through web portals, emails, and phone calls. Job duties may include booking flights, making hotel and car reservations, and suggesting restaurant and entertainment venues in the travel location based on the customer's preferences. You may also be on-call while your clients are traveling to help with any travel problems that may arise.
