What does a surveillance manager do?

As a surveillance manager at a casino, hotel, retail store, school, or transportation facility, your duties are to monitor video security systems and make routine physical inspections of the facilities to prevent crime, such as theft and cheating. As a manager, your responsibilities are also to hire and train new employees in the department, help institute security protocols and strategies, and carry out the orders of the department head or director of security. You must routinely log your findings and keep careful visual and written records of your shifts.
