They aid the surgeon in applying the most appropriate surgical techniques and ensures the safety and comfort of the surgical patient. In this role, you also implement safety measures before, during, and after surgery to increase the likelihood that the patient will have a positive medical outcome. Common duties include dressing wounds, transporting the patient to and from the operating room, and restocking surgical supplies.
