What does a statistical consultant do?

As a statistical consultant, you gather research and provide data analysis to advise a client or business about both pending problems and the potential solutions to those problems. Your duties include interviewing employees, observing operations, and focusing on financial data and company stats to recommend organizational changes. However, your overall responsibilities involve teaching companies how to best work with the stats available to them to understand change and make useful decisions based on data. To do so, you collaborate with members of teams across the organization and prepare both oral and written reports to share your findings.
