What does a senior electrical designer do?

As a senior electrical designer, your job is to use electrical knowledge and design principles to develop electrical drawings for each project you take. This includes determining what equipment can be used, ensuring the final electrical plan meets the client's needs and specifications, and verifying construction status in the field to ensure the plan represents as-built conditions. Senior electrical designers frequently check design drawings from suppliers and other resources, provide on-site support during construction, ensure plans comply with all relevant installation codes, and interact with contractors and subcontractors.
