What does a SharePoint developer do?

As a remote SharePoint developer, you work from home, or otherwise remotely, to develop and maintain your company or client’s SharePoint server portals. In this role, you may customize code, analyze data within the network, suggest ways of improving SharePoint to meet the company's needs, and test and deploy software solutions. You may help manage file migrations, document technical solutions for known issues, collaborate with IT staff virtually, talk with other employees to understand their requirements, and otherwise serve as a key development resource. Like many software developers, remote SharePoint developers frequently help configure systems and use various programming languages as needed.
