What does a remote SQL DBA do?

As a remote SQL DBA, you work with a company, organization, or another small and large business to manage and improve database systems. Using the SQL programming language and related software, you organize and develop solutions to enable IT staff to quickly troubleshoot problems and access and store data in a variety of ways. Other responsibilities include ensuring safe and secure data storage for proprietary information. As a remote worker, you carry out your duties via a home computer, communicating with management and stakeholders regarding data access, storage, recovery, and any issue arising with database administration.
