What does a remote reservations agent do?

As a remote reservations agent, you work from home to help customers book hotel rooms, flights, cruises and other traveling aspects such as a car rental. As a home-based worker, you may work over a proprietary platform, or you may provide services by using web searches and utilizing online resources such as Expedia, Travelocity, and other travel websites. Your responsibilities are to assess your customers' travel goals, budget, and a likely itinerary. Your duties are then to come up with travel plans that fit their budget and goals. As a reservation agent, you may work specifically with those who are planning vacations or you may provide services to business travelers only.
