What does a Pilates instructor do?

A Pilates instructor guides students in a gym, fitness center, or Pilates studio in the practice of Pilates. Your duties in this career include working to teach students by demonstrating proper techniques and monitoring them to ensure safe and effective practice. Depending on your employer, you may teach group or private classes, or you may teach a mixture of both. Your responsibilities as a Pilates teacher are to guide exercises performed on a mat and on any specially-designed pilates apparatus, such as a ball or chair.
