What does a pharmacy manager do?

A pharmacy manager is a pharmacist whose role goes beyond general pharmacy, into overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility. In this role, you are also in charge of ensuring the correct medications are in stock, managing inventory levels, and checking that prescribed medications are delivered to patients correctly. The everyday duties of a pharmacy manager focus on inventory and order as well as scheduling shifts for other pharmacists and pharmacy technicians on staff. Your additional responsibilities may include training new technicians and maintaining records for all prescriptions that each pharmacist fills within your pharmacy.
