What does a part time medical scribe do?

As a part-time medical scribe, your job is to follow a physician and record notes from an examination or procedure. In this role, you may update the personal chart of each patient, document conversations and decisions, enter recorded information into a database, and help improve the flow of patients through the facility. You may also act as a personal assistant for one or more physicians, with additional tasks including jobs like making calls, fetching tools, or assisting with certain procedures. Many part-time medical scribes are also medical students and use this job to gain experience. In this context, part-time can mean working after school, at night, or on the weekends.
