What does a middle school math teacher do?

As a middle school math teacher, your job is to provide each student in your classroom with education on each subject of math in your curriculum. The definition of a middle school varies slightly by school district, but it usually includes at least two or three grades in the 5th-9th-grade range. As part of your duties and responsibilities, you may evaluate the individual progress of each student, help students with special needs, participate in meetings, and take part in school activities as requested. Middle school math teachers sometimes oversee student assistants, prepare lessons, grade assignments, and tutor students who need additional help.
