What does a math curriculum writer do?

As a math curriculum writer, your job is to write mathematics textbooks and other instructional content for students. This includes things like deciding which equations to teach, what sample problems to include, and what sample lessons to provide to teachers. You often create units of study, improve existing books and processes, and curate questions based on relevant real-world considerations. You may also use specialized software to write and display the math content in the final textbook. Most math curriculum writers focus on the K-12 grade range, as the higher levels become so specialized that no individual writer is able to make content for all classes.
