What does a magazine merchandiser do?

As a magazine merchandiser, you help stock retail shelving with magazines and work to maximize the accuracy and placement of magazines to increase buying at a store. This involves placing popular magazines in areas that make it easier for customers to find them, selling magazines directly to stores, and determining the best way to display and organize stock. Magazine merchandisers usually work with a wide selection of different magazines, but you may not be responsible for the store's entire stock. Either way, this job frequently involves thinking like a customer to gain a better understanding of where and how to display new magazines and associated merchandise.
