What does a golf professional do?

As a golf professional, your job is to help manage a golf course. In this role, you may teach new players how to golf, select the best equipment for someone based on their current level of skill, or instruct other staff members to ensure the course keeps functioning smoothly. In your position as a golf pro, you may also manage a handicap system, clean facilities, order and stock merchandise, answer questions, and stay updated with current knowledge of golf course operations. Many golf professionals also play golf to maintain proficiency in the game. This job title refers exclusively to working at a professional golf course and should not be confused with being a professional golfer.
