What does a GED tutor do?

As a GED tutor, your job is to serve as a personal instructor and help people complete their education so they can obtain a GED certificate or similar educational distinction. In this role, you may work with students who dropped out of high school. Your duties and responsibilities are to select teaching methods based on the unique needs of students and give them assignments to keep them on track. GED tutors may work one-on-one or help larger groups of students who have varying levels of academic abilities. Depending on the style of your school, you may create personalized tests, help people learn study techniques, and assess the readiness of each student for taking the GED exam.
