As a freelance financial writer, you provide written content as specified in your contract with each client. As a freelance writer, this is by definition a temporary job, though companies frequently renew contracts with proven writers and occasionally extend regular employment offers to those whose content is particularly successful. In this role, you may examine financial documents, discuss a particular company's financial statement, or educate readers on topics like lending, their investment portfolio, little-known services they can get at their bank, and similar topics related to money and business. Freelance financial writers usually focus on copywriting, but you may occasionally be asked to write long-form content, conduct interviews, or even produce a book manuscript on a specific topic.
