A floral merchandiser oversees the placement of arrangements and displays in retail stores that sell flowers. Your responsibilities in this career may include managing the inventory for one or several locations, switching out new arrangements as per a predetermined schedule. Your job duties may also involve checking orders and culling unsaleable stock. You fill out reports to account for sales numbers and follow company procedures for sanitation and organization of the products. As a floral merchandiser, your job usually includes some physical labor, as you must move boxes and carry water buckets.
