What does a direct care supervisor do?

A direct care supervisor is responsible for overseeing direct caregivers in elder care, childcare, healthcare, or another type of facility where caregivers work. In this career, you coordinate activities, help develop personal care plans with other staff in the facility, and help train new staff. Some additional responsibilities may include assisting with personal service, ordering supplies, and greeting visitors. Your administrative duties as a direct care supervisor include answering phones, addressing mailing needs, and keeping charts and resident data up to date.
