What does a die cutting machine operator do?

As a die cutting machine operator, your job is to set up and operate a die cutting machine for the duration of a production run. In this role, you may operate a press, feed materials into the machine, and perform maintenance to ensure your machine can run as often as possible. Many die cutting machine operators work with automatic cutting machines, though employers may also ask you to perform manual cuts as needed. Die cutters can work any shift, so employers could ask you to work evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed. This is a physically intensive job, so stamina is particularly important.
