What does a delivery route driver do?

A delivery route driver works to transport products via a light truck on an assigned route. In this career, your responsibilities include working to load product onto your vehicle, driving to each customer’s location, and delivering the product to the customer. Depending on the job, you may also unload the product and place it in a predetermined area. Your duties as a delivery route driver may involve communicating with customers to ensure proper delivery. You must also count delivered items to ensure that each customer gets the amount that they ordered.
