What does a contract paramedic do?

A contract paramedic is a licensed professional who usually works in different areas to treat and transport emergency patients. They work a temporary contract job, moving from assignment to assignment. Common duties and responsibilities of a contract paramedic include assessing a patient’s condition, providing life support or first aid care to people with severe illnesses and injuries, and getting patients to the hospital as quickly as possible, particularly after an emergency. Individuals in this position also replace, clean, and take inventory of equipment and supplies, and they document their care of patients.
