As a Chaperone, your main responsibility is the safety and direction of the children, seniors, or special needs adults under your care. You will likely be spending your time on site at schools or community centers performing your duties. Chaperones also accompany groups on field trips, social outings, and other far-off events. You must stay alert for actions and circumstances that might endanger your charges as well as help make their time enjoyable and productive. Some Chaperone positions may require certification in first aid or CPR in order to maintain the physical safety of those under your protection.
