What does a cargo van driver do?

As a cargo van driver, your responsibilities are to deliver shipments and packages as you drive a predetermined route to your customers. Cargo van drivers typically focus on shorter, day-to-day routes instead of hauling items across the country. However, a few drivers transport rare, valuable, or hazardous packages over long distances. In this role, you may review each contract for delivery, provide customer service, ensure all items are delivered on time, and meet company standards for vehicle maintenance.
