What does a baseball writer do?

A baseball writer creates stories, articles, and news briefs for sports magazines or newspapers, sports broadcasts, and websites. You may focus on one particular type of writing, such as a weekly editorial column for a sports magazine, or you may develop profiles of baseball teams or individual players. Some baseball writers document and publish game scores and player statistics. The specific job duties of this role vary, depending on your assignment, but in general, you attend games to report on game details, analyze team and player stats to predict future scores and trades, and interview coaches, managers, players, and fans for reactions to the game.
