What do UI designers do?

A user interface (UI) designer creates visually appealing and functional user interfaces for applications and websites. UI designers select typography, logos, color, and images that look good together and are attractive to those using the program. As a UI designer, you work with strategic wireframes, mood boards, and design mock interfaces. While there is a focus on aesthetics, UI designers also construct processes to be as user-friendly as possible. You need to collaborate with other designers, developers, and end users to ensure the application runs smoothly from start to finish; the final design will go through many rounds of edits and improvements before it is launched.
