What do specimen processors wear?

Career: Specimen Processor

Like all laboratory personnel, a specimen processor must wear safety equipment that ensures a sterile environment that will not contaminate samples and will offer protection against infectious diseases present within the samples. Depending on the type of specimens, you typically wear a laboratory coat, a face covering, safety glasses, and medical gloves. When working with patient data or performing other tasks on a computer, you will not have to wear this kind of attire and can wear standard slacks, shirts, or other work-appropriate apparel.
