What does a film producer do?

A film producer is almost like the CEO of a movie. They make the big decisions, finance the film, and oversee every aspect of planning, manufacturing, and distributing the film, from development to post-production. The film producer is also in charge of planning and coordinating the film’s production, hiring staff, and managing multiple schedules and people. Since it is such a big job, film producers often delegate work to executive producers. The film producers have the final say in the scenes, music, and images that make the cut to the completed film.
