What are the qualifications to get an entry-level computer programming job?

The primary qualifications for this position are a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and familiarity with the programming process. Many employers accept a high school diploma or GED certificate and a portfolio of work in place of a college degree, but this isn't universal.
