What are UAV jobs?

UAV jobs focus on the development, maintenance, and use of drones. Human intelligence is still needed for piloting most drones, but many developers are working to include artificial intelligence and other technology to allow drones to be used over longer distances and in areas with poor internet or satellite coverage. Maintenance jobs focus on repairing and refurbishing drones, particularly in situations where the machines are sent into hostile environments or carry heavy items. Piloting roles tend to have strict qualifications outside of the hobbyist field, including the need for licensing by the FAA. Fulfilling the duties of a drone pilot often requires strong communication skills, a commercial pilot certificate, and several hundred hours of practice.
