What are masonry jobs?

Masons work with stone, brick, tile, cement and other heat-resistant materials to construct pathways, structures, or decorative areas. Masonry encompasses bricklayers, marble setters, terrazzo workers, tile setters, finishers, and caulkers. Bricklayers work with brick, cinder blocks, and similar materials to make walls, chimneys, etc. Marble setters work specifically with marble, both indoors and out. Terrazzo workers cover existing surfaces with a variety of materials, such as sand or cement. Tile setters lay tile. Finishers work with a variety of materials during the final steps of a masonry project. Caulkers caulk, clean, restore, and waterproof existing buildings. Masonry workers may help in new construction or repair existing work.
