What is a fruit packing job?

Fruit packing jobs involve duties like packing produce in a warehouse to prepare for shipments, practicing food safety, inspecting box containers for damage or cleanliness, labeling boxes or containers, and arranging produce containers for delivery. As a packer for a fruit packing warehouse, your responsibilities may also include preparing shipping materials, inspecting fruit for cleanliness or damage, loading trucks, and taking inventory of produce. These positions can be part-time, full-time, or seasonal, and they can be during any shift through the day, with third shift hours often paying a slightly higher hourly rate. As a fruit packer, you need excellent hand-eye coordination skills.
