What is an essay editing job?

Essay editing jobs focus on helping edit and review academic essays, particularly admissions essays and those for major assignments. In this role, you may evaluate grammar, provide suggestions to the student, and otherwise help improve the overall quality of the essay. Notably, essay editors do not write material for students other than by making corrections to existing work, as that is academically unethical and not performed by reputable editing services. Essay editors work with clients from different cultural and educational backgrounds, including international students who may grasp concepts but have difficulty conveying them in a non-native language. Some essay editors specialize in foreign-language essays.
