What are ESL curriculum development jobs?

ESL curriculum development focuses on creating lesson plans that help teachers teach students to read and write in English as a second language. In this role, you may design a variety of lesson plans, help develop instructional materials, and provide alternatives to help address the unique needs of students. Unlike many other subjects, ESL often involves working with students who have widely varying vocabularies and experience with English, so flexibility in lesson plans is particularly important. ESL jobs should not be confused with similarly-named ASL jobs, which focus on working with deaf or hard of hearing students rather than those learning English as a second language.
