What is a Weekend Tn?

Weekend TNs, or Weekend Triage Nurses, are registered nurses who primarily work weekends, often in healthcare facilities or for home health agencies. Their main responsibility is to assess patients' conditions, provide care or instructions, and determine the urgency of medical issues that arise outside of regular weekday hours. They play a critical role in ensuring patients receive timely care and that urgent cases are properly escalated to physicians or emergency services as needed. Weekend TNs help maintain continuity of care during periods when regular staff may be limited.
