What is a VA rater?

A VA Rater, also known as a Veterans Affairs Rating Veterans Service Representative (RVSR), is a federal employee who evaluates disability claims submitted by veterans. Their primary responsibility is to review evidence, medical records, and supporting documentation to determine the extent of a veteran's service-connected disabilities and assign a disability rating.
