What is a tile setter apprentice?

Tile Setter Apprentices are entry-level workers who assist experienced tile setters in preparing surfaces and installing tile in residential and commercial settings. They learn how to measure, cut, and lay tiles, mix adhesives, and grout, under the guidance of a journeyman or master tile setter. Apprenticeships typically combine on-the-job training with classroom instruction to help apprentices develop the technical skills and safety knowledge needed for the trade.
