What is a temporary driver CDL permit?

A Temporary Driver CDL Permit, often called a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP), allows individuals to practice driving commercial vehicles under the supervision of a fully licensed CDL holder. This permit is a necessary step before obtaining a full Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
