What is an ROTC cadet?

ROTC Cadets are college students enrolled in the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program, which prepares them to become officers in the U.S. Armed Forces. Through a combination of academic coursework and military training, ROTC Cadets learn leadership, management, and military skills while completing their college degrees. Upon graduation and successful completion of the program, they are commissioned as officers in the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Space Force, depending on their chosen branch.
