Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are paraprofessionals who work under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide behavior therapy, often for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental conditions. RBTs implement treatment plans designed by BCBAs, collecting data and assisting with behavior modification strategies. They play a vital role in helping clients develop social, communication, and daily living skills while reducing problematic behaviors. RBTs must complete specific training, pass a certification exam, and adhere to ethical guidelines to maintain their credential.
