What is the Purple Line?

The Purple Line is a new light rail transit project currently under construction in Maryland, USA. It will connect several communities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, running between Bethesda and New Carrollton with multiple stops along the route. The Purple Line is designed to improve public transportation, reduce traffic congestion, and provide better access to jobs, schools, and other destinations. Once completed, it will link directly with other transit systems, including Metro, MARC, and Amtrak.
