What is a PA Doc?

PA Docs, or Physician Assistant Doctors, are healthcare professionals who are licensed to practice medicine under the supervision of physicians and surgeons. They are trained to diagnose illnesses, develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe medications, and often serve as a patient’s principal healthcare provider. While they are not medical doctors (MDs or DOs), PAs have advanced medical education and clinical training. They work in a variety of medical settings, including hospitals, clinics, and private practices, providing high-quality care to patients. Their role helps increase access to healthcare, especially in underserved areas.
